Privacy statement

Our data protection policy is compliant with both applicable provisions of personal data protection, and other legal provisions.

In order to protect your data as effectively as possible from accidental or deliberate manipulations, to prevent data loss and destruction, and to prevent data access by unauthorized third parties, we use technical and organizational security measures that are upgraded in accordance with technological developments and legal changes.

Which personal data is collected and its use, how the data is protected, and how to change data is given below.

Which personal data is collected?

Our webpage is accessible without entering any personal data. Indication of personal data is required only upon the fulfilment of the following applications.

Registration for the events of the Little Karst Marathon.

Individual registration

Personal data collected:

Group/Family registration: Registration of new group/family and Application for a group/family

For group application submissions, minimum 10 participants or family members, the group/family must be registered beforehand.

Personal data collected at the Registration:

• Name of group or family
• Contact person (Name)
• Address (Street, Street no., Postal Code)
• Fiscal Code
• Telephone number
• E-mail address

The group or family will receive a notification message on the registered e-mail address and their password used to register and enter group or family members. The contact person of the group or family must ensure that the registered e-mail address and password will be used exclusively by himself/herself or from an authorized person. Each user is solely responsible for the content he/she includes on the website www.kraskimaraton.si.

When adding runners to a group or family, we also collect personal data of the co-runners. Therefore, be sure that all information relating to third parties is made with their consent.

Personal data received by submitting the Individual registration or Group registration is collected, used and processed for the purpose of keeping records of the event participants and for communication by e-mail or telephone regarding the event registration, program and content, event satisfaction, and for sending e-news about the event.

Personal data on the name of every runner is also published on the website at the end of the event on the Results page. This information may also be displayed if the runner fills out the Memorial Medal form, which can be downloaded in a printable version (.pdf).

Subscription to e-news

Personal data collected:

• E-mail address

Personal data on the e-mail address is collected by subscribing to e-news and used exclusively to send e‑news until cancellation. Subscribers will receive useful information on the event of the Little Karst Marathon and the events of Zavod za šport, turizem in prosti čas Sežana up to twice (2) a month.

Personal data collected upon the fulfilment of the form Contact info is used exclusively for communication by e-mail.

Who will use your personal data?

Personal data is used exclusively for the execution of the event Little Karst Marathon and other necessary communication (registration confirmation). Data is collected from all the runners, regardless of the registration form. Access to data and data processing will be made by the following legal persons:

• Zavod za šport, turizem in prosti čas Sežana will use personal data exclusively for the execution of the event, event registration and for invoicing, as well as to improve the event next year.
• Timing Ljubljana will use personal data exclusively for the collection and publication of the results on their website (www.timingljubljana.si) and on our website on the Results page, and for sending telephone messages about the run result.
• Frontlab d.o.o. will use personal data exclusively to collect registration applications and to send electronic notification to individuals who explicitly consented to it.

How is your data protected?

All above mentioned data is saved indefinitely on the server. Zavod za šport, turizem in prosti čas Sežana can use the data in an anonymous summarized form for statistical analysis. Personal data shall not, in any case, be given to any unauthorized persons.

Collected and processed data will be revealed in case of an obligation laid down by law or in good faith if a course of action is necessary for proceedings before courts or other state authorities, and for the protection and enforcement of the legitimate interests of the administrator.

Users are also responsible for their data protection by ensuring the security of their computer and of its working system used to perform orders.

Right to access the data

You have the right to receive, at your own request and free of charge, information on which personal data was stored. Furthermore, you have the right to request corrections, deletion and prohibition of using incorrect data. In certain circumstances the deletion of data may be contrary to legislative provisions, particularly if the data is intended for accounting and bookkeeping purposes.

Anytime you can:

• Unsubscribe from e-news by clicking the tagged link; i. e., unsubscribe to all e-messages. After unsubscribing your personal data will be moved by the administrator to unsubscribed users records where it is stored indefinitely or until cancellation from the user to prevent errors and unintentional registrations.
• Correct personal data by sending a written request to info@kraskimaraton.si.
• Permanently delete personal data stored by the administrator by sending a written request to info@kraskimaraton.si.
• Export and access personal data in electronic form stored by the administrator by sending a written request to info@kraskimaraton.si.

Use of Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service of Google Inc. Google Analytics uses “cookies”, text files that are stored on your computer and allow analyzing your use of the website. Data on your use of this website (including your IP address) obtained by the cookie are transferred to Google US server where they are stored.
